Ezyer privacy policy
Ezyer makes tools for Google Slides and for collecting visual references: the Ezyer.Toolbox Chrome extension and the Ezyer website (Studio, Bank and Spaces). This page says what they do with your data.
Last updated 14 October 2026
The short version. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, we don’t run analytics or trackers, and we don’t build a profile of you. The extension works on your Google Slides presentation and talks only to Google and to the Ezyer website (ezyer.space, also served at ezyer-toolkit.vercel.app). Your boards in Spaces stay in your own browser unless you choose to share one.
Ezyer.Toolbox, the Chrome extension
The extension adds a side panel to Google Slides so you can browse media, drop images and video into a deck, and edit them there.
- Your Google account. You sign in with Google through Chrome’s own sign-in. We request access to your Google Slides presentations and to files the extension itself creates in Google Drive (the presentations and drive.file scopes), and nothing wider. Your sign-in token is handled by Chrome and goes only to Google.
- Your email address. The extension reads the email of the Chrome profile you’re signed in with, to show which account is connected. It stays in your browser.
- Your presentation. When you ask it to, the extension reads the slide you’re working on and writes the images, video and shapes you add. This happens between your browser and Google. We don’t receive a copy of your presentation.
- Settings and preferences. Saved in Chrome’s extension storage on your device.
- Voice dictation. If you use it, the microphone is used through your browser’s speech recognition. Chrome handles that audio, not us, and we never store it.
- Media conversion. Converting and optimising files happens on your device, in the extension.
Google user data
Ezyer’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In plain terms: we use Google data only to provide the features you ask for, we don’t transfer it to anyone else except as needed to do that, we don’t use it for ads, and no person reads it unless you ask us to for support or the law requires it.
The Ezyer website
- Studio and Bank. Pictures and clips you use are fetched through our servers so they load reliably. Scene assets you upload are stored temporarily and cleaned up automatically.
- Spaces. Your boards, cards, colours and the “taste profile” built from them are kept in your browser’s local storage. Image matching and captioning run on your device, using models your browser downloads once and caches. If you share a space, a copy of that space is saved on our hosting provider so the link works, and anyone with the link can view it. To search for references, your search words are sent to the image sources you query. If you turn on the written taste summary, a short description of your space (not the images) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to write it.
- Access cookie. Spaces uses a single cookie to remember that you’ve entered the access code. Nothing else.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs such as IP address and browser type to run and secure the site.
Who else handles data
- Google, for sign-in and the Slides and Drive APIs.
- Vercel, which hosts the website and stores shared spaces and temporary uploads.
- Anthropic, only for the optional written summary in Spaces.
- The image and video sources you search, which receive your search terms.
We don’t sell or rent your data to anyone.
Keeping and deleting your data
Anything in your browser, including settings, boards and cached models, is yours to clear: remove the extension, or clear site data for the Ezyer website (ezyer.space). You can revoke the extension’s access to your Google account at any time in your Google Account permissions. To have a shared space removed, email us with its link and we’ll delete it.
Children
Ezyer isn’t aimed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and, for the extension, say so in its release notes.
